Open Letter to my Husband

While stumbling today, I came across Wannabe Hippie’s post, “An Open Letter to my Husband”. I liked it so much that I just had to share it.

It’s in a flowing poem kind of form, easy to read, pleasant on the eyes and poignant. You really need to go read it.

I have often felt the very same way. Don’t get me wrong, the love of my life cherishes me and makes me feel like a Princess. When he’s not cheeking me off and being silly. He makes me laugh longer and harder than anyone else I know. But sometimes, sometimes, it’d be nice to *know* how wanted I am, how needed I am. To hear it, vocalized, out loud. I guess it makes you feel validated and “worthy”, reassured. Even though you know it’s fact and truth anyway.

Anyway, it’s a great post Elaine. Thanks for sharing it with us. Perhaps there’s a husband or two out there that will also read it and be reminded that a simple pat on the bum or a kiss on the cheek goes a long way.

Thanks for the link. And yeah, I think we all feel like that sometimes… at least, the almost 10k hits suggest it’s so! And luckily, my husband read it and took it to heart! Weeee!

Elaines last blog post..And here’s where the guilt and speculation start taking me over

Elaine, I’ve been updating my blog plugins and such today and your comment got to me via email but not on the blog, how odd! So I reposted it verbatim ;) And went back to peek at your site.

I’m glad to hear the support on you site about Millie is helping, truly.
